About Julian

Julian Michael Carver (circa 2019).

Julian Michael Carver was born in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania in 1992. From a young age, he showed an interest in dinosaurs through fictitious films like Jurassic Park, The Lost World, The Valley of Gwangi, and The Land Before Time.

He began writing in his younger years, penning short stories on notepaper and drawing the covers with colored pencils and markers.

After graduating from the now defunct Art Institute of Pittsburgh in 2013, Carver decided to take up professional writing again. In 2019, he released his first chapter book series for kids, “The Backpack Dinosaur”. The first book in the series, A Raptor Ate My Homework!, was released in April of 2019.

Carver intends to continue to develop the series by using his skills he learned at The Art Institute to develop commercials for his books, running them in the Pittsburgh area where he grew up.

In addition to writing children’s books, Carver also has written adult horror and science fiction novels, such as Triassic (2020) and Megacroc (2020).
